December Meet

This December, ‘We’ has a great opportunity to interact with Mr. Chris Hartmann, Peace facilitator of Kurve Wustrow Projects, Civil Peace Service Programme Nepal. ‘We’ learn about role of young people in Peace Building and different tools and resources young people can have access to smoothen the peacebuilding process.

International Condom Day 2016

‘We’ for Change in collaboration with National Centre for AIDS and STD Control (NCASC Nepal) celebrated 29th World AIDS Day 2016. Marking World AIDS Day, ‘We’ released the Condom Song under our project ‘Outloud’. The official launchtook place in the presence of Honorable Mr. Gagan Thapa, Minister, Ministry of Health in collaboration with National Center for AIDS and STD Control (NCASC); supported by Family Planning Association of Nepal (FPAN).

‘We’ releases CONDOM SONG

‘We’ for Change presents infotainment song; ‘CONDOM SONG’ to spread awareness on safe sex practices and increase use of condoms. The song is produced under the project ‘Outloud’ funded by MTV Staying Alive Foundation.

International Youth Day 2016- Cycle Rally

On the occasion of United Nations International youth day 2016 ‘We’ team organized a cycle rally with the joint initiation of Alert Fund for Youth Activities. The rally was formally inaugurated from Shanti Batika, Kathamandu and ended at Jawalakhel Ground. The main aim of this rally was to unite against riot and violence and speak out for a safer and unified nation irrespective of our differences. ‘We’ thank our chief guest Mr. Deepak Kumar K.C., senior social development officer at DDC and all the participating youths for making this rally stand out for a cause.

World Environment Day 2016- Cleaning campaign

On June 5th 2016, ‘We’ for Change, organized awareness campaign and cleaning campaign at Khokana. Team conducted interaction program on municipal solid waste management reaching more than 100 people beneficiaries including students of Shree Rudrayanee Secondary School, local leaders, women’s group and whole community members. ‘We’ also conducted community cleaning up activity along with the installment of waste bin in different areas. Painting competition among students was also organized.

Health Camp in Sankhu

On May 2016, ‘We’ for Change organized two health camps in Sakhu Palubari Community School, Sankhu. The first health camp was provided to 200+
community people of Sakhu-6. The second health camp was dental camp which was provided to 200+ community people of Sankhu. Awareness classes regarding hygienic dental care was provided to the community people.

Celebrating Cultural Diversity ‘RETREAT 2016’

“Unity in Diversity”, “Strength in Difference”

A group of 18 members of ‘We’ for change came together to be a part of Member’s Retreat and to mark the World Day for Cultural Diversity Dialogue and Development 2016. Two days program held on 20-21 May at Bode, Bhaktapur was a success to aware, engage and empower our members. Introducing the organizational structure, strategy planning, Interpersonal Communication Skills building, Team Building activities and debating skills were focused. The most cherished part of the day was deemed as the cultural show where our members show cased their talent and were the star of the show.

Charity Event 2016

On June 11th 2016, ‘We’ for Change organized a charity event, ‘Bhikshyam Dehi’ at Sarwanam Theatre. ​’We’ raised Rs. 68,000 in the show. This fund will be directed for School on Wheels project in order to enable young people of remote districts to learn, play and grow together. ‘We’ would like to thank all the people who directly or indirectly contributed to raise the money for School on Wheels project.
