Who ‘We’ Are ?

‘We’ for Change, established in 2012, is a non-profit youth-led organization based in Kathmandu, Nepal. It is the only youth led organization of Nepal that is entirely led by 16 to 24 age group of young people. ‘We’ is committed to aware, engage and empower young people of Nepal through leadership and capacity building initiatives. ‘We’ use peer education, sports, meditation, yoga, music and dance to work in the issues of leadership, livelihood, environment sustainability, health, disaster management and civic engagement.

‘We’ run projects over 12 districts of Nepal

I Can Lead

Project ‘I Can Lead’ aims to break the cycle of ‘Girls can’t be Leaders’, work to challenge and eradicate the psychological stigma which considers girl/women lack in political leadership and decision making capacity by bringing awareness to the youngest age groups of girls i.e. from 14-20 years. Our project aims to aware, engage, educate and empower 30 young girls from Province-3 and Province-7 (Far-western province) about female representation, knowledge in leadership and decision-making, democracy, good governance, electoral procedures and encouraging them to carry out research-based work where they will analyze and help to promote the condition of girl leadership, Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) and formal quality education for girls in their community.


Free HIV Testing Bus 2019

Free HIV Testing Bus 2019 also known as FTB 2019, is a community based HIV testing service provided to the people of Terai region of Nepal. This project is supported by AIDS Healthcare Foundation and is run in collaboration with National Center for AIDS and STD Control (NCASC) and National Association of People Living with HIV/AIDS in Nepal (NAP+N). In this project, a delivery van is customized to a mobile clinic which moves to the core communities of Terai region of Nepal having minimal health service facility for HIV testing. This project mainly targets the migrant population and their family. Our project has also been contributing in the VISION 2020 of Nepal Government following strategy IRRTTR (Identity, Reach, Recommend, Test, Treat, Retain) to support Nepal Government for eliminating HIV/AIDS as Public Health Problem.


All Hands Together

'All Hands Together' is a youth initiative to build ethnic harmony and social cohesion in the communities of Nepal. This project was initiated in support of Chevening Foundation, UK and in collaboration with Center for Social Change. This project focused on identifying the possible ways to contribute in building ethnic harmony and social cohesion in the communities of Madhes (Terai) and Pahad (Hills) region of Nepal. The main objective of the program was to integrate youth influencers of these regions through intercultural exchange and community engagement actions. This project rejuvenated the energy of 16 young enthusiasts of Kathmandu valley and Janakpur by creating a platform to understand each-others culture and strengthen ties. 8 youths from Madhes and 8 youths from Pahad participated in the exchange program.
